Suria Carvalho

Suria is the founder and CEO of VeYogic Corporate Wellness LLC (VeYogic Wellness). She has developed VeYogic’s unique approach for corporate wellness. Suria has completed a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and a Master’s in Communication (MA) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. later, she pursued a Ph.D. in Environmental Science at the University of Auckland, in New Zealand. In 2015, Suria completed her first 200 hours yoga teacher training (TTC) in Ashtanga Yoga. In 2016 she returned to India to further her education as a Yoga teacher. She then completed another 500 hours Hata Yoga TTC and worked as a yoga, pranayama, and meditation teacher at Nirvana Yoga Shala. She continued her journey in South East Asia and taught in Cambodia and in the Philippines, before returning to the United States. Suria currently lives in Washington DC and implements her yoga wellness programs in various local organizations.
