Lucila Castiglioni is a vinyasa and trauma – sensitive yoga teacher trained in India, Nepal and the US. Her yoga journey began over a decade ago in her home country of Argentina and has deepened immensely through her 5 years of solo travel around the world. Lucila has studied and taught yoga Nidra, Reiki, laughter yoga and meditation, as well as sports flexibility. She bases her teachings on the understanding of the self as a system, where emotions and thoughts play a key role in a person’s body and are a crucial part of any healing process. Lucila aims for her students to create a healthy mind-body connection through compassion, self examination, and mindful movement. She strives to deliver classes where the student’s needs and goals are met by relying on her vast knowledge, powerful intuition, and devotion the practice. Lucila enjoys creative expression through crafting, loves spending time in nature and believes in the healing power of plant-based food.
Suria has been attending yoga classes for 18+ years and practicing on a regular basis for the past 6 years. Suria has also traveled extensively around the world. This direct experience with other cultures has taught her to be humble, challenged her worldviews, and helped her understand others. In 2015, Suria completed her first 200 hours yoga teacher training (TTC) in Ashtanga Yoga in Thailand with Lorraine Taylor. After completing her TTC, she returned to her home country (Brazil) and taught yoga for a year at a local studio. She returned to India to further her yoga education and to deepen her spirituality. During her time in India, she completed another 500 hours Hatha TTC and taught yoga, pranayama, and meditation after completion of the course. She went on to teach yoga in Cambodia and The Philippines, before settling in Washington, D.C. in the United States where she currently resides. Recently she returned to Rishikesh, India and completed another 300-hour TTC in Yoga Therap
Danladi Whitten a.k.a. “Master Don” is the owner and head instructor at JTR Jujutsu International. A lifelong practitioner of martial arts and passionate instructor of self-defense programs, Master Don’s 37 years of experience in traditional martial arts and combative programs qualifies him as a field expert in the area of self-defense tactics. Master Don was born in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. His journey in martial arts began in 1982, at the age of seven. He accomplished his first major goal—to achieve a black belt in Tae Kwon Do —after ten years of rigorous, dedicated training.
Khyati Desai-Seltzer is certified by the International Association of Infant Massage to provide instruction to parents on massaging their babies for short term and long term benefits. She graduated from LSU with a Bachelors in Sociology and International Studies and from GMU with a Master’s in Public Administration in Nonprofit Management. She is a mother of a three year old girl and enjoys yoga, meditation, travel, and dancing in her free time. Khyati believes if every baby had a chance to experience loving, physical touch on a regular basis, our world would look very different. She is passionate about holistic living and wants to share the power of infant massage with as many parents as possible.
Alex Lima has been a massage therapist since 1993. In this period, he has enhanced his practice with
continuing education in diverse specialties including deep tissue, technical stretch, neuro-muscular
therapy, and other techniques. His main concern is to listen to the client, and to be a vehicle and
facilitator to the person’s health care, providing a service fit to each individual needs.
